Councillor Martyn Cox

Until May 2006 I was the Executive Member for Children's Services dealing with all those issues which affected young people including Education, Social Services, Connexions, Children's Centres and the Youth Service in essence anyone from the age of 9 months through to 18 and sometimes beyond. From 24th May I was elected the nominated spokesperson on the Council for Greater Manchester Police, a new challenge which I am really looking forward to. Myself and my ward colleagues are always happy to speak with constituents about any issue concerning the Horwich and Blackrod Ward which covers Horwich town centre, all Horwich south of Chorley New Road, West Lostock starting from Bolton Golf Club and of course the whole of Blackrod. These issues may include problems with crime, transport, education, housing, the environment, parking, recycling or any issue which you think we can help you with. Our surgeries are held on the second Saturday of each month, between 10am and 11am at Blackrod Council Chamber and the fourth Saturday of each month at Horwich Public Hall on Lee Lane, also if you wish to contact us at any other time please do not hesitate to call us on the contact numbers supplied.
