Councillor Andrew Morgan

Although I was born in Leicester I have had a house and business in the Bolton Area for over 20 years. After leaving school I joined the Army’s Junior Leaders Regiments at Bovington in Dorset a week before my 16th birthday! On graduation I served with the Army’s Air Corps until the age of 23 when I left and joined British Aerospace working for the company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a Senior Project Engineer. I worked in Riyadh for 10 very memorable and happy years. On our return to the UK we purchased and continue to work on a daily basis at the Bakewells Care Home in Deane where we currently employ over 35 staff from the local area. I was elected to serve the Hulton Ward in 2002 at the ripe old age of 35 until 2014. I was elected to serve the residents of Heaton & Lostock in May 2015 and it is a real honour and privilege to serve the community where I live and have my business.  It allows me to put something back into the area as an elected representative. I find the most rewarding part of being a local Councillor is being able to assist and help residents and the local community with any issues they have.  In my spare time (which I don’t seem to get a lot of) I am a Trustee of Bolton Hospice and a local Magistrate serving the Bolton Bench. My leisure activity is spending as much time as possible with my 3 sons and partner.
